Providing a warm welcome, The Black Bull Inn of Penwortham is a public house full of tradition including a brewing heritage that stretches back into the early 1800’s. Recommended by CAMRA’s Good Beer Guides for 2012, 2013, 2014 and now 2015. This Cask Marque and Beautiful Beer Gold Award holding establishment has a particular focus on quality real ales with a choice of four cask real ales at any one time, in addition to Theakston’s keg mild, several quality lagers and cider. Dating back into the early 1800’s The Black Bull Inn began its days as a small private brewery, the grain for which was grown locally at a nearby farm on the other side of the road. More History
